What is the length of the non-parallel sides in an isosceles trapezium if the perimeter is

256 cm and the lengths of the two parallel sides are 60 cm and 86 cm respectively?​

Answer:

perimeter = sum \: of \: all \: side

let \: the \: non \: parallel \: side \: be \:  \:  \:  \: x

256 = 60 + 86 + 2x

256 = 146 - 2x

110 = 2x

x =  \frac{110}{2}

x = 55 so the non parallel sides are 55cm
