Breadth = 25.4 m
Length
= P/2 - b
= 121.2/2 - 25.4
= 35.2 m

Verification -

P= 2 ( l + b)
P = 2 ( 35.2 + 25.4 ) m

given the breadth (width) of the rectangular playground is 25.4m.

perimeter of the rectangular playground = 121.2m

therefore 2(l+b) = 121.2m

=> 2(l+25.4) = 121.2m

=> 50.8+2l = 121.2m

=> 2l = 121.2-50.8

=> 2l = 70.4

=> l = 70.4/2

=> l = 35.2m

VERIFICATION:-

perimeter of the rectangular playground = 2(l+b)

= 2(35.2+25.4)

= 2×60.6

= 121.2m

hence verified

thus the length of the rectangular playground is 35.2m
