The answer is given below :

We know that sides of a square are equal and thus perimeter of a square
= 4 × (length of a side)

Let us consider that length of a side of the given square park is a m.

Given,

Perimeter of the square park = 64 m

⇒ 4 × a = 64

⇒ a = 64/4

⇒ a = 16

Thus, the length of a side of the given square park is 16 m.

EXTRA :

Again, we find the area of the square park.

We know that area of a square
= (length of a side of the square)²

In this problem, length of a side of the square park is 16 m.

Therefore, the area of the square park
= 16² m² = 256 m²
