Lightning is one of the most dangerous natural hazards which can easily damage the tall objects like the buildings.

To prevent the lightning damages we use a scientific set-up which is known as the lightning conductor.

In this set-up we simply put a long metal rod vertically in the building's roof,and that metal rod is connected with an earthing wire in the ground level.

If the lightning strikes on the roof,the electrical charge of the lightning will be absorbed by the metal rod and that electrical goes into the ground through that earthing wire and no damege happens.
