The liquid part in our blood is plasma that contains platelets, red blood cells, white blood cells, etc. Platelets help in the clotting of blood whenever we get a cut and blood starts oozing out of the wound.The clotting of blood due to these platelets prevents too much loss of blood from the body even from a small cut.
