The longitudinals extent of India is 68°7 E and 97° 25 E.

In the east of 0°, there are 179 longitudes or meridians and in the west also 179 longitudes are marked. After an Eastern longitude, letter E is added and in the same manner when we mention a Western longitude, letter W is added to show its location in Eastern or Western Hemisphere. 180° longitude is known as International Date Line and neither E nor W is added after it.
