Magnetic force on a charge in a magnetic field is given by the magnetic Lorentz force, F=BqvsinQ Therefore if charge is parallel to the field then angle between them is equal to zero. Therefore F=Bqvsin0.......(sin0=0) So F=0 So no magnetic force acts on the charge when it is parallel to the field
