Hey

Magnitude of a Vector :

Magnitude \: of \: a \: vector  \: \vec{a}= | \vec{a} |

Which actually is :

|\vec{a}| =  \sqrt{a_x^2 +a_y^2 +a_z^2 }

And so, Magnitude of a unit vector is :

| \hat{i} | =  \sqrt{1^2 +0^2 + 0^2}=1

And similarly for other n - directions !!
