5 Duma abandoned the Tsar.
There are number of causes of Russian Revolution.
1. The autocratic and despotic rule of Tsars has been described as the main cause of Russian Revolution.
The policies of Tsars especially of last ones (Tsar Alexander III and Tsar Nicholas II) brought economic crises and lead to public unrest. The policy of Russification and banning of political organisations like Duma angered the people. Russia's involvement in World War I was disastrous for Russia as millions of her soldiers and civilians were killed and there was economic bankruptcy. The workers and peasants were exploited and land lords were also not happy with the Tsar. So people turned against the Tsar which ultimately lead his deposition and execution and finally Revolution in Russia.
