What is the main cause to grey hair

When we get older melanin which is responsible for giving colour to hair start decreasing and when it is totally removed then our hair becomes totally white

when we become old or when our body stops to produce the pigment melanin our hairs starts to turn grey (combination of black and white which looks like grey)..these grey hairs starts growing bcoz of mental stress,and genetics etc.......
