1) The latitudes are horizontal imaginary lines that run east and west across the globe.
2) These lines are parallel to each other and are of equal distance to each other and hence are called parallels of latitude.
3) The largest latitude is called the equator. It is also called "Great Circle".

if two lines are formed on a surface as well as the distance between interior of lines are equal,then it is said to be ll lines
