Main constituent of biogas is methane (75%) biogas is formed by the slurry ( mixture of cow dung and water ) this slurry is fed into the digester in which the decomposes convert it into methane hydrogen sulphide in absence of oxygen
1) it is renewable sources of energy
2) good manure is formed
3) it has good calorific value
4) it is environment friendly

ADVANTAGE OF BIO GAS:- it burn without smoke, therefore causes less pollution. And its conveninent to use and leave no residue (hence,called a clean fuel) :-    "USES OF BIO-GAS" :-1-its used as domestic fuel for cooking as well as in industries.-2:-its used to run engines and pumping sets.-3:- it is used for generating electricity.
