What is the main difference between aqueous and non-
aqueous solution?

Answer:

The solutions made by dissolving various solutes in water are called aqueous solutions. For example a solution of salt in water is an aqueous solution. The solutions made by dissolving solutes in organic liquids or solvents which do not contain water are called non-aqueous solutions.
