difference between grey matter and white matter:

grey matter:

1. grey matter is the darker tissue of the brain and spinal cord.

2. it has less myelinated axons.

3. it occurs on the surface areas of the brain and inside the spinal cord .

4. it controls the senses of the body such as hearing , seeing, feeling and memories.

white matter:

1.white Matter is the paler tissue of the brain and

spinal cord.

2. it has more myelinated axons.

3.it occurs in the cortex of the brain .

4.it controls the involuntary functions of the body such as blood pressure and body temperature .
