In saprophytic nutrition..such as in fungi like mushrooms...breaking down of food takes place outside the body of the organism. The mushrooms secrete enzymes out of their body to break down the food outside and then absorb it
But in holozoic nutrition, the food is taken inside the body and is digested completely inside too!
