What is the main differences between prime and co prime number?

prime numbers are the number have factors as 1 n only itself. eg: 2 which has 1 and 2.
whereas co primes are those numbers which have their hcf as 1. eg:2,3

The prime numbers has only two factors i.e. 1and self . but the co prime are said those numbers there GCD is 1 . the any two prime numbers are also co prime each other.
