what is the main function of centrosomes?? plz give brief explanation..

» Centrosome divides before cell division to form two centrosome.

» In plant cells, it is absent except in lower forms.

» In animal cells , Centrosome with one or two centrioles is present.

» Centrosomes contain centrioles , which helps in spindle formation.

» centrioles also produce basal bodies that form cilia and flagella.
