The main function of the cell nucleus is to control gene expression and mediate the replication of DNA during the cell cycle. The nucleus is an organelle found in eukaryotic cells. Inside its fully enclosed nuclear membrane, it contains the majority of the cell's genetic material

• It controls the Heredity Characteristics of an organism.
• Stores hereditary material in the form of DNA strands. Also stores proteins and RNA in Nucleolus.
• It is responsible for protein synthesis, cell division and growth.
• It is a site for transcription process in which messenger RNA are produced for protein synthesis.
• It also regulates the integrity of genes and gene expression.
