Retina is the part of the eye that converts the light that enters through the pupil into electrical signal to be sent to the brain using the optic nerve. It is located in the back of the eye and acts like a screen. It is also is light and colour sensitive. It has rods and cones that can detect colour, and defects in these rods and cones causes colour blindness.

Hope this helps!!! :)
