The cardiovascular system consists of the heart, blood vessels, and blood. This system has three main functions:Transport of nutrients, oxygen, and hormones to cells throughout the body and removal of metabolic wastes (carbon dioxide, nitrogenous wastes).

▪removal of waste from cells and transport it to Kidneys .

▪removal of carbon dioxide from cells and passes it to lungs .

▪it is also called cardiovascular system .

▪types of blood vessels contain arteries, veins and capillaries .

▪heart pumps oxygenated and deoxygenated blood to different parts of body .
