The main theme is that only and only your deeds are what make you great and will be remembered by people even after your death. It doesnt matter how mighty you are now since there is nothing mightiest than time. So its important to be humble than keeping your ego.

The main idea of this poem is that all tyrants are eventually defeated and reduced to nothing. AlthoughOzymandias thought he was a great and terrifying monarch, ruling over a mighty kingdom, all that is left of him now is a broken statue on an empty desert where his "works" once flourished.
