the high court perform two types of function:

(1) judicial and (2) administrative. regards the judicial function, the high court has original, appellate and advisory juris diction with respect to revenue cases and for the enforcement of the fundamental rights

high court also has the power, power to hear appeals against all types of cases againt the decidion of the lower courts in a state concered

high court also has the power judicial review, the power of declare a law unconstitutional, if it goes against the constitution. like a supreme court, the high court is also the guardian of the constitution and the fundamental rights to the people
