What is the main reason for polution growth in india
Answers
The main reasons for the large growth in population in India are: (i) decline in the death rates and (ii) a persistently high birth rate.
The decline in the death rate has come about due to an increase in life expectancy. There has been an improvement in the ability to cope with conditions created by droughts and to control epidemics. There has been much improvement (though far from adequate) in the living conditions in both urban and rural areas. Spreads of education and expanded medical facilities, particularly immunisation against preventable diseases, have reduced the incidence of diseases. Diseases like small pox have been completely eradicated.
Birth rates have remained high due to a number of economic, social and political factors which continue to favour high fertility.
