what is the main reason for slow growth of economy during british rule?

Becz britishers never gave attention for the betterment of India economy. Further all the raw materials were cultivated in fertile Indian soil if high wuality and exported to Britain at low rates also we were importing finished goods from England at high prices. So we were forced to cultivate the crops that Britishers needed as raw material for their industry. All the economic activity that took place at that time was only focused on the commodities that will benefit Britain and not India.
