HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

The main reason for the Mahabharata war was draupadi because : She was the one who insulted the kuru vansha by calling Duryodhan as ANDHE KA BETA ANDHA, which was a direct insult to duryodhàn and dhritrashtra who were not just her in laws but also the prince and the king of an entire dynasty.

Answer:

The main reason for the battle of Mahabharata was the aspiration to become king. We known that after winning the battle, Pandavs only ruled for next 20 years and notore than that and after that they went to become Sanyasi.

The reasons for battle were raised due to the aspirations to become kings. This aroused a feeling of greed, avarice, intolerance, rigidity, etc. in Kurus which made them against Pandavs from childhood itself. Thus this increased more distance between them. And finally the battle was fought because of the last game of 'chausa'.
