What is the main source of conflict in this passage? Kerry was giving a presentation to his boss bright and early the next morning. He went to bed early, but his neighbor's dog was barking loudly enough to keep him awake. He knew Jeb, his neighbor, worked nights and the dog barked because it missed him, but Kerry had to get some sleep or his presentation could become a disaster.

Answer:

There are many conflicts in the passage. The first one is “Jeb’s Dog barks at night because it misses its owner.” Next is “Kerry needs sleep but his neighbour’s dog keeps him awake. “ The third one is “Jeb's work nights and is not at home to keep his dog quite.”  The final conflict is “Kerry has a big presentation to give to his boss in the morning.”
