Here is your answer...

✨Political Parties or Politicians don't have a stand on any issue. Their stand on any issue is driven by opportunism.

⭕Starting with the ruling party :

♣️If you're familiar with indian politics, you know the importance of Ram Mandir in it. If you have been following Mr. Modi and BJP, they had raised this issue in almost all recent elections ie : UP, Bihar,Gujrat,Haryana. All of these being the Hindi belt area and core area for soft hindutva.

◼️But Mr Modi and the BJP who appear to be so keen on building Ram Mandir have not once mentioned it in the North-east or the southern rallies.

◼️Because North East barely has hindutva based votebank. And south too doesn't seem much intrested in the issue.

⭕Now at Opposition party :

♣️The oldest party of India, which once was a hardcore Hindutva-Line party, in 2008, submitted an affidavit[1] in the supreme court stating Lord Ram is a Mythical Character and ram setu seems of no good, thus coming up with a plan to demolish it.

◼️Now, the same party and same Vice - President ie: Rahul gandhi(Current President,INC) who once said people go to temple just for eve-teasing, was visiting a New temple on every other day during Gujrat elections. Just because recent trends have shown Hindus slightly drift towards the hindutva line.

The characteristics of a political party are

1⃣ Political parties contest elections and share power.

2⃣ They agree on some policies and programmes for the society to promote collective good.

3⃣ If a political party is unable to win a majority, it makes an alliance with other parties to form a Coalition Government.

4⃣Political parties try to persuade people that their policies are better than others.

The above characteristics show that political parties are necessary for a democracy.

A political party can be described as a group of individuals who assemble to contest for elections to hold power in the government. A political party has three significant characteristics, namely, the leaders, the active members, and supporters. In India the parties are characterized by the existence of a multiple party system in the form of communal and regional parties, evolution of competent opposition parties, Independent members, and an absence of a specific constitutional provision which prevents and allows citizens to form political parties and associations.
