What is the major difference b/w using Though and Although in a sentence??? If no particular difference..... then at what situation is it used in a sentence...?

Both the words mean the same, but their usage is different. Although is used mostly in formal english, while though is more common in colloquial or spoken english. Also, though is used in combination with many words to form different phrases, like 'even though', 'as though'.

For example:

Although Manika is intelligent, she doesn't score well.

Though Manika is intelligent, she doesn't score well.

Even though Manika is intelligent, she doesn't score well.

But the kinds of sentences in which these words are being used is different,....

1.Though he is poor, he is happy

2.although he is poor, he is happy
