Active transportation is the movement of a substance from higher concentration to lower concentration against it's concentration gradient. i.e it requires energy (ATP)
Facilitated diffusion is same but it is along the concentration gradient hence it does not require energy

Facilitated diffusion doesn't require ATP whereas active transport does. This is because active transport involves the movement of particles against its concentration gradient, whereas facilitated diffusion involves the movement of particles down the concentration gradient.
