why do you think we are, where did you see that written, are you another one of those people who got misguided by the preamble , that says India is a secular nation, people can be secular but nation such as India can not be, in United States they fought a 4 year long war and 400 years of struggle to get out of the blemish of slavery but in India with a stock of pen we on first page wrote that we are secular awesome fun loving democratic country which we were not and still we are not. and reason for that is simple we never knew a lack of the provisions that we have in our constitution today so realising the importance of them without any struggle can never be effective in its true sense. we are now fighting for LOKPAL for some time now and when whole country will stand and fight for it they will have to pass that bill and then in future we will cherish the idea of lokpal and we will probable never question the lokpal because it was based on struggle of generations. so please before asking question just take a look at the picture don't just throw around words like secular and India in the same breath.
