What is the major reason for the non perennial nature of the peninsular rivers

The major reason are of non perennial water in peninsula area sre of lack of Rainfall as there less Rainfall take place which lead to the shortage of water.

Peninsular rivers are non-perennial. They don't flow throughout the year. Because they depends upon the rainfall. As they are not originated from the Himalayas they are not perennial.
