it's Markonikov's rule or Markownikoff's rule....
it states that negative part of Hydrogen Hallide should be added to the carbon having less hydrogen in unsymmetrical alkene...

Eg : - CH3 - CH = CH2 + HBr --------> CH3 - CHBr - CH3 ( 2 - Bromo propane)
