hi friend
here's your answer looking for

basically which study this definition of Mass.

Mass:- mass is the matter contained in a body.

but actually,

it is the amount of inertia contained in body, which resist the motion.
so, the more and more mass, then the more and more resistance to motion.

it's SI unit is kg.

the mass is fixed at any places or all places but the weight is variable.
if we calculate the mass on the earth and on the Moon then we will get the same but if we calculate the weight on the earth and weight on the Moon then we will find out tremendous difference.

hope you are satisfied with my answer

Answer:

Mass, in physics, quantitative measure of inertia, a fundamental property of all matter. It is, in effect, the resistance that a body of matter offers to a change in its speed or position upon the application of a force. The greater the mass of a body, the smaller the change produced by an applied force.

Mass (symbolized m) is a dimensionless quantity representing the amount of matter in a particle or object. The standard unit of mass in the International System (SI) is the kilogram (kg). ... The mass of an object can be calculated if the force and the acceleration are known. Mass is not the same thing as weight.
