What is the mass of -
• 0.2 mole of oxygen atoms?
• 0.5 mole of water molecules?​

Answer:

now 1 mole of oxygen= 2×(6.022×10^23) no. of atoms

so, 1mole of O2= 12.044×10^23 =16 g of O2

therefore, 2/10moles of O2= 12.044×10^23×2/10 = 24.088×10^22 = 16×2/10 =3.2 g

so, 3.2gram would be the mass of 0.2 mole of O2 atom

Hi!

(A) 16 u = The mass of 1 mole of 02 atom.

So,the weighs is 16 g .

Mass of 0.2 mole of 02 atoms is 16°0.2 = 3.2

(B) 18 u = The mass of 1 mole of water atom. So the weight is 18 g .

Mass of 0.5 mole of water atoms is 18°0.5 = 9 u.
