I mole of nitrogen contains=6.022×10²³atoms

mass of one mole of nitrogen is 14 g.

there fore... mass of 10²³atoms =10²³×14/6.022×10²³

=2.32...g (approx)

Given;

N ( N atoms) = 10²² atoms

We know that M(N) = 14g/mol.

Let Avagadro's number (NA) = 6 × 10²³ (For approximate value)

Thus ;

  • W/M = n = N/NA. (2 formulas for calculating moles are equated here)
  • W/M = N/NA
  • W / 14 = 10²²/6 × 10²³
  • W = 14 / 6 × 10
  • W = 2.3 / 10
  • W = 23 × 10^-2 g approximately.
