What is the mass of 2 moles of Magnesium? (Mg=24)

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We know that,

Moles of a substance can be calculated by dividing given from its molecular mass.

That is;

Mole of magnesium = Given mass/molar mass of magnesium

molar mass of Magnesium = 24 grams

Putting the values;

2 = Mass/24

Mass = 24 × 2 = 48 grams

Hence, The answer is 48 grams.
