Solution :-

We need to find the mass of 5 moles of water (HO)

As we know that ,

1 mole of water = 18 grams of water

1 HO = 2[ 1 ] + [ 16 ] = 2 + 16 = 18 g

Let the mass of 5 moles of H₂O be x

Now , writing the given question in the mathematical form ,

1 : 5 : : 18 : x

By multiplying means & extremes

Here ,

  • Means → 5 , 18
  • Extremes → x , 1

⇒ 18 × 5 = x × 1

x = 90g

Hence , mass of 5 moles of H₂O = 90g
