It is composed of ethyl alcohol(solute) and water(solvent)

Step 2 -                  

Second, 40% Antifreeze solution means---

40% solute is present in 100 kg of Antifreeze solution.

And here, the solute is ethyl alcohol - 40kg

Step 3-

So, wate(solvent) would become= 100-40 = 60 kg

Therefore we can say that- in 100 kg of Antifreeze solution there is 60 kg water.

Step 4 - (Calculation)

Antifreeze Solution                                               H2O

    100                                                                     60

      5                                                                    60/100 * 5 = 3 kg

(The above numerical means that-

If there is 100 kg of the solution, there is 60 kg of water
