What is the mass percentage of hydrogen in H2O molecule ?

\huge\underline\mathfrak\blue{ Answer }

Molecular Mass Of H in H_{2}O is 2gm.

( as mass of 1 molecule of H is 1 and in water there are 2 H molecules )

Molecular mass of H_{2}O is 18 gm.

Mass percentage = \frac {molecular \: mass \:of \:hydrogen}{Molecular\: mass\: of\: water} × 100 %

\implies \frac{2}{18} × 100%

\implies \frac {200}{18} %

Answer:

Your Answer.

Atomic mass of Hydrogen(H) = 1u

Atomic mass of Oxygen (O) = 16 u

So, molecular mass of H2O

= 2 * 1 + 16

= 2 + 16

= 18 u

Mass of hydrogen in 18u of H2O = 2u

So , percentage of hydrogen present by mass of H2O is =>

\begin{gathered}= > \frac \pink{2} \pink{18} \times 100 \\ \\ = > \frac{1}{9} \times 100 \\ \\ = > \frac \red{100} \red{9}\\ \\ = > 11.11\end{gathered}

So, Answer is 11.11%
