Solution :

Given :

A chemical compound Na2SO4 is provided.

To Find :

Mass percent of Na, S and O in the given compound.

Concept :

▪ First we have to find out molecular weight of the compound after that we can calculate mass percent of each arom.

Mw = 2(Na) + S + 4(O)

Mw = 2(23) + 32 + 4(16)

Mw = 46 + 32 + 64

Mw = 142g/mol

Calculation :

\implies\sf\:\%Na=\dfrac{2\times 23\times 100}{142}\\ \\ \implies\sf\:\%Na=\dfrac{4600}{142}\\ \\ \implies\boxed{\pink{\bf{\%Na=32.39\:\%}}}\\ \\ \mapsto\sf\:\%S=\dfrac{1\times 32\times 100}{142}\\ \\ \mapsto\boxed{\bf{\blue{\%S=22.53\%}}}\\ \\ \leadsto\sf\%O=\dfrac{4\times 16\times 100}{142}\\ \\ \leadsto\sf\:\%O=\dfrac{6400}{142}\\ \\ \leadsto\boxed{\bf{\purple{\%O=45.07\:\%}}}
