In this poem the poet is trying to convey the message that tree should not be killed as they are as our friend . He also tells that the tree cant be just killed by a single jab of knife as because it has taken a lots of nutrients from the earth . He also tells that if we wants to kill the tree then we have to pull its roots out and then only the tree would die. In this poem poet is opposing to kill the tree.
