Materials Used For Making Dentures Home / Dentures / Blog. Denture bases are made up of PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate) resin also known acrylic resin. Conventional resins have been modified by rubber reinforcement to improve their mechanical properties.

Denture is the artificial teeth that are made up of porcelain and resin composite. Many dentists would use porcelain over resin as it is highly durable and is strong.

Basically, porcelain is a ceramic material that has similar properties to that of a glass. This looks like an enamel of real tooth that makes the tooth appear to be natural.

When you insert the denture made of porcelain, it makes you feel like having a real tooth.
