The maximum number of children among whom 32 red marbles, 144 blue marbles and 176 green marbles can be divided equally is 16

The share of each children is 2 red marble, 9 blue marble and 11 green marble

Solution:

Given that,

We have to find the maximum number of children among whom 32 red marbles, 144 blue marbles and 176 green marbles can be divided equally

We need to find the maximum number, which means find greatest common factor of 32 , 144 , 176

FIND GCF OF 32 , 144 , 176

The factors of 32 are: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32

The factors of 144 are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 16, 18, 24, 36, 48, 72, 144

The factors of 176 are: 1, 2, 4, 8, 11, 16, 22, 44, 88, 176

Then the greatest common factor is 16

Thus, maximum number of children is 16

Red\ marble = \frac{32}{16} = 2\\\\Blue\ marble = \frac{144}{16} = 9\\\\Green\ marble = \frac{176}{16} = 11

Thus share of each children is 2 red marble, 9 blue marble and 11 green marble
