Area of inner cross section = 5*5 sq. cm
= 25 sq. cm
Number of pencils can be stood in stand =
25/(3.14*0.5*0.5) = 31.84
= 31 pencils

Answer:127 pencil

Step-by-step explanation:

square shaped stand whose side is 5 cm

so the area of stand is = 5*5

=25 cm²

and radius of pencil = diameter / 2

= 0.5 / 2

= 0.25 cm

so the area of pencil = πr²

= 22 /7 * 0.25*0.25

= 0.19625 cm²

so numer of pencil can stand = 25/ 0.19625

=127.388

so total 127 pencil can stand
