The maximum number of members in Lok Sabha or the lower house of Indian Parliament is 552.

Among them, 530 members represent the 29 states of India and 20 members represent the 7 union territories.

2 members are supposed to be nominated by the President from the Anglo Indian community of the country.

However, at present the number of members in the Lok Sabha is 545.
