Mean means average in statistics
∵ To find the average, we add up the values in the data set and then divide it by the number of values that we added
∴ mean of 12, 14, 16, 18 = (12+14+16+18)/4
= 60/4 = 15

we can calculate the mean of given numbers as follows:-
firstly we add all these numbers and then divide it by total given numbers.
i.e. 12+14+16+18=60.
now 60 divided by 4. because given numbers are 4.
so, 60/4= 15.
therefore 15 is the mean of the given numbers.
