First eight natural numbers are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. Mean=sum of observations/total no. of observations. =1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8/8.

First 8 natural numbers: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8

Mean = Sum of all observations/ No. of operations

So, mean of first 8 natural numbers

= (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8)/8

= 36/8

= 4.5
