mean proportional of two numbers "a" and "b"
x / a = b / x
here , a = 27 , b = 48
so now ,
x / 27 = 48 / x
by cross multiplication ,we get
x^2 = 27 × 48
x^2 = 1296
x = √1296
x = 36
hence , the mean proportional of 27 and 48 is 36.

Given : Two numbers 27 & 48
To Find : mean proportional of 27 and 48
Solution:
Mean proportion of a & b is √ab
a = 27
b = 48
Mean proportion = √(27 * 48)
=> Mean proportion = √(3*3*3 * 3*4*4)
=> Mean proportion = √(3²*3²*4²)
=> Mean proportion = √(3*3*4)²
=> Mean proportion = (3*3*4)
=> Mean proportion = 36
mean proportional of 27 and 48 = 36
