Another example is the exquisite Tanjore paintings with the gold leaf. These are designed to be added to the puja-room to be used for meditation. Usually the room is darkened and lit by a lamp. The beauty of the gold leaf in contrast with the painting reflects in the lamp light. Those Tanjore paintings are an intrinsic part of the meditation traditons from the Vedas which is unique to Bharat. These paintings would not come about if it had not been for the Vedic traditions.
