Lets take an example of solid carbon dioxide if we apply the pressure on it it gets directly changes into gaseous form withoit coming in the liquid state, thia type of process is called sublimation.
So we can say that by applying pressure and reducing temperature solid liquify into gaseous form or vice versa.

hope ot will help u...!!!!

as we know gases are highly compressible, on applying pressure, molecules of gas come close, intermolecular forces increases and it will condense into a liquid.
gases can be converted into liquids by simple cooling. so by reducing temperatures, gas converts into liquids...
hope it helps you..
